RAHWAY, NJ - Rahway Mayor Raymond Giacobbe will Assemblyman Jim Kennedy and Union County Freeholders, 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Willows, a new affordable housing residence which will cater to artists in downtown Rahway.

The new 58-unit residence, located at 219 Central Avenue, will cater to artists with designated artist spaces throughout the building, and also feature a fitness center and several furnished sundecks.

Union County contributed approximately $800,000 in HOME Investment Partnership funds to the project. The community consists of one, two and three bedroom apartments featuring a full host of amenities including fully-equipped kitchens, washers & dryers, large closets, plank flooring, and energy efficient appliances,
