HAWTHORNE, NJ - The Hawthorne Environmental Commission's Green Team and the Borough of Hawthorne have announced the styrofoam drive will be held again on Saturday, October 19, from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Municipal Building.  The event will be held rain or shine.

Clean "packing" styrofoam is the only type that will be accepted.  No cups, food boxes, or packing peanuts can be taken.  Residents who wish to shred up paper are allowed to bring up to three bankers boxes or grocery bags full of documents, letters, old bills, and other papers they want to dispose of.

Styrofoam drives have been held in Hawthorne before, when seventy car loads were collected in January as part of the Green Team's "post Christmas Collection".
