FLEMINGTON, NJ – Finally, the sun finally came out for the 2019 Hunterdon County Bike to Work – a relief for the 52 riders who registered for the event.

A few of the die-hard commuters did in fact brave the lousy weather conditions on Monday and Tuesday and rode to and from work or transit despite Mother Nature.

Today’s good weather meant that many of the registered riders were on their bikes heading to various worksites or transit locations. These bicycle commuters demonstrate that single-driver car commutes are not the only way to get to work or transit.

Among those embracing this week’s event are goHunterdon staff, who have got on their bikes and joined the national event sponsored by The League of American Bicyclists.

National Bike to Work Week is a chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling — and encourage more people to give bicycling a try as a more sustainable transportation option.
