HAWTHORNE, NJ - TAPinto Hawthorne contributor Judy Kopitar has captured some sights around the borough. Wildlife is flourishing around Arnold's Pond in Goffle Brook Park, where the county has been maintaining the pond with workers in a boat.
"I noticed red-winged blackbirds chasing a Great Blue Heron that was fishing for his lunch," Kopitar said. "The heron caught a fish and then the blackbird sat on his head. I have never seen that. In this upside down world right now even the water fowl are acting strangely."
