The Cattaraugus County Health Department confirmed a 98th case of the coronavirus Tuesday.
According to a press release issued by the department, the 98th confirmed case is a male who lives in the southwest quadrant of the county. The man, who reports no significant travel history, developed chills and a loss of taste and smell. Wednesday, he was seen at WellNow Urgent Care, where he was tested for COVID-19. He received his positive result Tuesday.
The department has begun a thorough contact tracing on the man.
There are three active COVID-19 cases in the county; 91 residents have recovered, and four have died.
