CORAL SPRINGS, FL - Baby Kyler went home Saturday.

Kyler Nuñez-De Aza’s birth on Thursday at Broward Health Coral Springs was unique because of this fact: his grandparents and other relatives couldn’t be inside the hospital due to the coronavirus and they had to see him for the first time through a first-floor window.

Many of his family members ended up camping outside the hospital in their cars until the baby was born at 8.5 pounds and 20 inches.

Our newsletter delivers the local news that you can trust.

Here’s our story describing the moment Kyler’s relatives first saw him.

Kyler is doing well. His Coral Springs parents, Samuel Nuñez and Taisha De Aza, were all smiles when they posed with him for one final photo at the hospital before heading home.
