GenPsych Celebrates Opening of New Livingston Location

February 21, 2013 at 9:56 AM

LIVINGSTON, NJ - On Wednesday Feb. 20, GenPsych PC hosted a free open house event at their new facility in Livingston inviting local health care providers to learn about their services.  Over a dozen therapists, nurses, and other health care providers attended the event to enjoy refreshments while listening to an energetic presentation given by several of the GenPsych staff.  Guests were then able to tour the facility to get a better idea of how operations for patients ran on a day to day basis.

During her presentation, Ajita Mohan emphasized that their mission was “to provide the best quality care.”  She explained that “GenPsych’s tailored programs are what make us stand out.  If we don’t have the service, we can develop the service as long as there is a need.”

The GenPsych team’s presentation also included overviews of all of their initiatives which include partial care and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for eating disorders called the “HEAL” program, IOP for teens, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adults.

“GenPsych’s new Livingston, NJ location is a direct response to the need we’re observing in the community and an important addition to the range of mental health and substance abuse services available to Essex County residents,” said Dr. Henry Odunlami, Founder and CEO of GenPsych, PC. “We know that treatment works.  The success rates of treatment surpass those of any other medical conditions.  The dysfunction created by untreated mental illness has a multiplier effect, draining society’s resources in numerous, unexpected ways.”

“We are very excited to be a part of a new community and be able to serve areas of North Jersey,” said Program Administrator Carmela Sellitto.  “Our goal is to be able to provide our services in all regions of New Jersey and opening this location is helping us do that.”  Carmela said GenPsych also has locations in Bridewater, Brick, and Lawrenceville NJ.
