WARREN, NJ -Friday, April 11 at 1pm is the last day for Warren Township residents to register for the Warren Township Recreation Commission's Easter Egg Hunt & Wagon Bike Parade being held April 12. The cost is $8 for the Egg Hunt, the Wagon Parade is free. Go to www.warrennj.org/wtrec to register. Sign-ins begin at 1pm at the tennis courts off of Bardy Road for parade participants and at the pavilion for the rest of the participants with the parade starting at 1:30. Decorate your wagons, bikes or strollers for Easter or Spring. Participants receive a bag of goodies. Three prizes will each be given to the most original, funniest and the prettiest. Prizes include two Polaroid tablets which were donated by The Learning Experience and the third prize will be a family pack of 5 tickets to Touch-a-Truck Event held on May 4, Art Lesson from Wagner Farm Arboretum and a Tie Dye kit.
In response to the multiple postings of people who were not aware of all the volunteers in Warren who help make this town as wonderful as it is, the WARREN TOWNSHIP RESCUE SQUAD is organizing a "Meet your Volunteers" afternoon on Saturday, April 12 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.Volunteer agencies in Warren, such as your FIRE DEPARTMENT, RESCUE SQUAD, OEM (OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT), GREEN TEAM, LIONS, et. al. will be at tables either near the Squad Building (6 Bardy Road) or... inside the Squad bays, depending on the weather, with information on their organization. There will be Warren Township Volunteer Forms available should you feel you would like to volunteer for any of these organizations. Additionally, there is a good possibility the FIRE DEPT will have a demonstration of an extrication from a motor vehicle by the fire department extrication team.
As part of this initiative, the RESCUE SQUAD will also be offering F R E E CPR classes inside their building from either 12-2 pm or 2-4 p.m.If you would like to learn CPR please go to our website: www.warrenrescue.com to register. If there are more people than can be accommodated on this day, additional classes will be set up at a future date (s); please make sure to put your preferred contact information on the form.
This event wraps around the Recreation Department's Annual Easter Egg hunt which lines up near the Squad building and tennis courts. This is another great event organized and run by Volunteers!. If you come early with your children ,the Squad and Fire Departments will be happy to show them our ambulances and fire trucks.
