PISCATAWAY, NJ — Middlesex County health officials reported 3 new positive COVID-19 cases over the last 24-hour period, bringing the total to 846 residents who have tested positive in Piscataway. No additional information regarding the new cases was provided.

The reported death toll remains at 34 for the township.

According to covid19.nj.gov, there are now 16,640 positive cases in Middlesex County and 1,104 deaths.

New Jersey’s health department confirmed an additional 382 positive cases on Monday and 57 additional deaths. The state's total toll currently sits at 169,734 known cases and 12,949 deaths. 

Statewide, there are now 1,092 hospitalizations, with 50 new patients and 48 discharges reported since Monday, according to the State Department of Health.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant in following the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, the State of New Jersey, and public health officials when it comes to social distancing, hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting common areas.
