HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ -- The Hasbrouck Heights Garden Club will be meeting Wednesday, January 16, at 320 Boulevard, at Senior Center at the Municipal Building.  Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting.

The speaker will be Roman Oscada and present "Be Somebody! Grow Garlic! He will give a fun talk on the World of Garlic, covering the historical botanical origins of garlic, its evolution into eight families of hard-neck garlics and two families of soft-necks. He will also discuss planting and growing garlic as well as where the garlic you buy in the store comes from.

Oscada has 25 year of garlic farming on his farm Valley Fall Farm in Warren County, NJ. He grows over 200 varieties of garlic from all over the world.

Those attending are asked to bring a non perishable food item for the Hasbrouck Heights Food Pantry.
