MONTVILLE, NJ – Montville Township is putting township cable and wifi service provider Altice on notice, as Montville Township Committeeman Matthew Kayne, State Senator Joseph Pennacchio, township administration and legal counsel had a conference call with representatives from the company on July 29 to follow up on how Altice plans to address what the township calls “numerous service-related complaints.”

Officials said they were assured by Altice representatives that the service (cable and WiFi) and customer service had been improved, effective July 23, 2020. The company will be going back to review some of the areas that are still experiencing service problems, and representatives will report back to the township in a short period of time, township administration said. Lastly, they acknowledged they are embarking on a major infrastructure investment and improvement to the existing infrastructure which is still in the development stage. Once complete, Altice representatives said, this should help provide better service, township officials summed up from the call.
