Spring Gardening Series: Starting Plants from Seeds

The Livingston Public Library is holding a Spring Gardening Workshop series in partnership with the Master Gardeners of Essex County.

These sessions, under the Library’s “Know Your Garden” series,  will be led by Ms. Fran Kroeckel who has been a Master Gardener since 1999 and is the chairperson of education outreach for children and adults.

In the first workshop "Starting Plants from Seeds" on Saturday, March 16, from 11am to 12.30pm, participants will be shown the proper way to sow seeds, and how to take care so healthy seedlings emerge, so that one can experience the joy of "growing from scratch".

This will be followed by a second workshop on Transplanting on April 3rd and one on Soils and Fertilizers on May 3rd.

All sessions are hands-on, run from 11 am to 12.30pm,  and all materials are supplied.

Space is limited; open to Livingston residents by registration only via the library calendar at www.livingstonlibrary.org or by calling 973 992 4600
