FAIR HILL, Md. – The Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show (www.fairhillthoroughbredshow.com) will hold their annual hunter/jumper show Sept. 21 & 22 at the Fair Hill show grounds, Elkton, Md. Hunter classes take place Saturday and jumper classes on Sunday.

“The philosophy of the show is simple. Every Thoroughbred needs a chance to live a great life after racing and every owner/rider should have the opportunity to enjoy these horses in a welcoming and open environment,” said Board Member, Lisa Demars.

This year, the FHTS has partnered with The Real Rider Cup (www.therealridercup.com) to kickoff the show. On Friday evening, Sept. 20 at 5 pm, five teams of five riders each will compete – jumping! The teams include Racing Media, Farm Managers, Jockeys, "Racing Kids" (who've literally grown up in the industry) and the Freestyle team which will feature sidesaddle, bareback, and bridle-less mounts.

Competitors will again have the opportunity to enter a drawing to earn one of 15 spots in a clinic that will be led by a leading professional. In the past, clinicians have included Anne Kursinski, Joe Fargus and Silvio Mazzoni.

In addition, the show offers multiple $500.00 scholarships to support and reward riders for selecting a Thoroughbred as their sport horse mount.
