WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Horse Council (AHC) now offers two additional membership opportunities aimed at “For-Profit” Businesses. Historically, AHC membership have been categorized as Individual (serving a single person) or Organizational (serving associations, coalitions, federations, and other non-profits). Through extensive research, AHC learned that “For Profit” entities often could not identify with individual or organizational categories and thus were hesitant to join.

The expansion of membership categories is designed to alleviate confusion and help “For Profit” businesses more easily get engaged and involved in the AHC mission to advocate for the entire horse industry. Examples of companies that would identify with this type of membership include: Equine CPA or legal firms, manufacturers, veterinary practices, farriers, retailers, and equine related small business owners.

AHC President, Julie Broadway, stated “The AHC business membership is designed to give a “For Profit” organization visibility as a player in the equine industry while also providing the business and their staff with the tools, resources, and professional development opportunities you need to conduct your critically important work.”
