EAST UNION TWP. Pa. — A reward is being offered for information regarding two dead horses that were dumped on a rural road sometime between Jan. 1 and 2.

The East Union Township Police posted on their Facebook page that the two horses were found on Girard Manor Road, Phineyville, Pa. The bodies were dumped sometime between 6 p.m. on New Year’s Day and 11 a.m. on Jan. 2. The horses were described as malnourished.

The horses were covered by a beige colored tarp.

One horse is a chestnut with a blaze. The other appears cream colored.

Police and Humane officers from the Hillside SPCA are investigating this incident, anyone with any information is asked to call police at 570-384-5829.

 Hillside SPCA is offering a reward for information leading to arrests of those who are responsible.
