POHATCONG TWP., N.J. — Mylestone Equine Rescue held its 19th Open House on Oct. 7.
The horses at Mylestone are not just any horses — they are all rescued horses who once faced cruelty, starvation, the auction, or slaughter. Many have special needs.
Funds raised from a silent auction, featuring baskets, crafts, art, and much more; the bake sale and other sales will go toward the expenses of taking care of the horses.
Visitors were also asked to bring one or more cans of soup to help feed the hungry people in the area. Several tubs and an entire table were filled with donations by the end of the day.
Mylestone Equine Rescue is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1994. Additional details can be found at www.mylestone.org.
