TRENTON, NJ/HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced at his Monday afternoon press conference that municipal pool and private swim clubs can re-open on Monday, June 22. It is part of the Stage 2 in the state's economic recovery plan.

While official guidance will be released on Tuesday, the Hasbrouck Heights Swim Club has been busy preparing for the 2020 summer season, according to Mike Davis, president of the HHSC Executive Board. He explained that the board had preliminarily targeted June 19 for the opening, based on the governor's previous press briefings. Getting the official date, "sets everything in motoin," he said.

The facility was slated to open for the season Saturday, May 23.

Davis said the group has been working with CDC guidelines, including spacing tables at least six feet apart. He said they will put in an "extra level of safety, to err on the side of caution."  Unless they hear otherwise, Davis said the swim club also plans to move ahead with swim and dive teams.

Once the state issues the guidance, the swim club will officially notify its members of the new protocols. Davis also said they plan to hold an open house for potential new members, and some special events, which will be announced in the coming weeks.'s Grand Re-Opening Marketing Specials provide local businesses with social media marketing, content marketing, and brand awareness as well as the flexibility to market in neighboring towns.
