Berkeley Heights Man Critical, Short Hills Woman Uninjured After Two-Car Crash in New Providence

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – A Berkeley Heights man is in critical conditional today after a two-car accident on Central Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Orville Behm, 76, was transported by MedEvac to Morristown Memorial Hospital after the head-on crash just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The other driver, Brooke Eisenberg, 20, of Short Hills, declined treatment at the scene.

According to New Providence Deputy Chief Scott Torre, both vehicles sustained extensive front end damage. Accident teams from New Providence and Union County are investigating the accident, and charges may be pending.
