MONTVILLE, NJ— A car fire in Montville was quickly extinguished Friday morning.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 8, police officers responded to V&V Recycling Center, also known as Garden State Recycling, on Route 202 for a car fire, according to Police Chief Andrew Caggiano. Vehicles were being scrapped when the fire began. The Montville Volunteer Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, Chief Ron Baldwin said. 

The cause is under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious, Caggiano said.
