Penn Wynne, Lower Merion Township, PA -- At about 2:40 PM in Saturday the 911 Dispatch Center in Eagleville dispatched Police and EMS unit to the intersection of Argyle Road and W. Wynnewood Road.  Two LMPD cruisers responded along with Medics and an EMS Command Unit.

Medics from Narberth Ambulance treated an elderly person for injuries sustained in the two-car accident and transported the victim to an area hospital.

Officers on the scene declined to comment about the patient's injuries and about what area hospital received the victim.  

It is the policy of the Lower Merion Police where officers are not authorized to speak with the press. 

Detours around Argyle Road were implemented and after about  45 minutes the road was reopened.

Police closed Argyle Avenue at Wynnewood Road to Sussex Road. 

Two vehicles were towed from the scene.
