Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion Township, PA — On Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 10:48 AM the police responded to the report of a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank 75 E. City Ave. The victim was an 85 year-old-man residing in Lower Merion Township. 

According to police the victim went into the bank and withdrew $1000, placing $500 into two white envelopes. When leaving the bank carrying the two envelopes in his right hand, a black male between the ages of 40 and 50 years old rushed in from behind, and while passing the on the victim's right, the thief grabbed the envelopes..

The man hopped into the drivers' side of an unknown make vehicle that was last seen heading down City Ave.

Police detectives have been reviewing video footage from the bank and surrounding businesses.

The investigation is ongoing.
