CORAL SPRINGS, FL – After two men allegedly chased and beat another man in Coral Springs, police went looking for the suspects – and found one of them hiding in a garbage can in Margate, a police report said.
It all started on Wednesday evening outside a restaurant when Glenton Gordon, 39, and Krishna Brissett, 23, allegedly chased another man who wasn’t identified, the report said. As Brissett allegedly punched the man in the 7800 block of West Sample Road, Gordon allegedly pulled out a knife.
The unidentified man suffered a cut to his leg, scratches on his neck and chest, and bruises on his head.
Gordon allegedly took the man’s cell phone, and then he and Brissett ran off, the report said. Police used the cell phone’s data tracking to catch up with the men in Margate, and it was there that officers found Gordon hiding in a garbage can.
According to the report, the incident started after the unidentified man accused Gordon of harassing a woman in a restaurant.
Police charged Gordon, who works at Publix, with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and petit theft, the report said. Brissett, who is unemployed, was charged with battery.
