PARSIPPANY, NJ - The past week has left the Police Department dealing with numerous attempted and completed burglaries. The Patrol Division and Investigative Division are working around the clock to solve these incidents and prevent future ones. The police ask all residents to keep eyes and ears open and report anyone or anything that seems suspicious right away.  

According to the Parsippany Police the following incidents have occurred:

Officers responded to a residence on Edwards Road for a reported activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival of responding officers, they observed damage to the front entry way consistent with a burglary attempt. The homeowner was notified and responded to the residence. After further investigation it was determined that the attempted burglary occurred between 7:30 PM and the time of the alarm activation. It was also determined that the unknown suspect(s) did not gain entry into the residence. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office CIS responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.

Also:

Patrol Officer G. Cacioppo responded to the Embassy Suites parking lot for a reported burglary to a 2006 Mazda 6. After speaking to the victim, it was determined that the unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unsecured trunk and stole numerous pieces of stereo equipment totaling approximately $1,000.00. The burglary occurred between 6:00 PM on 3/31/2018 and 11:20 AM on 4/1/2018.

Also:

Officers responded to a burglary to a residence on Springfield Court. Upon their arrival, they found the front door kicked in. Officers checked the interior of the residence and found the master bedroom ransacked. It was determined the burglary occurred between 3/30/18 and 4/2/18. The Parsippany Investigative Division along with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office CIS responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.

And Also This:

Officers responded to a reported burglary. Upon their arrival, they spoke to the victim who advised them that between 3/27/18 and 4/3/18 they were away on vacation and believed the house was burglarized. They stated when they arrived home on 4/3/18 they did not notice anything wrong, however on 4/4/18 they noticed that their food and liquor cabinet was depleted. On 4/5/18 they also noticed damage to a wall from the door being swung open to far, unlocked windows, and multiple beer cans in the bushes outside the residence. They did not observe anything else missing from the residence.
