CHATHAM, NJ - The discussion about the redevelopment of two lots on River Road, where there is a plan to build 62 affordable housing units, has been moved to the April 6 planning board meeting.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Monday, March 16 planning board meeting has been canceled.
The Chatham Township Committee voted to name Block 62, Lots 71 and 74 as the site for 62 affordable housing units at its March 12 meeting and the plan was approved by Superior Court Judge Michael Gaus on March 13.

MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED
In consideration of the current state of affairs relative to the COVID-19 coronavirus and to protect the health and safety of the employees and the public, the Township of Chatham has taken the initiative to cancel tonight’s meeting of Monday, March 16, 2020. The cancellation also affords the general public an opportunity to receive a new 10-day notice and have a full 10 day period of public inspection, pursuant to Section 10b of the Municipal Land Use law, to review the revised Housing Plan Element & Fair Share Plan, reflecting the revisions made to same by the Township Committee at its public meeting on Thursday night, March 12, 2020. All matters on the following agenda will be carried without further notice to the next scheduled Planning Board meeting on April 6,
