Keller Williams Premier Properties, Summit + Westfield is transforming the basement of a homeless shelter in Newark into a youth-friendly playroom.
On May 9, Keller Williams Realty Premier Properties in Summit and Westfield will be participating in the annual Keller Williams RED DAY, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate.
More than 1,000 offices and 180,000 associates across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia, will donate their day to projects related to renewing and energizing their local communities.
Our office and its associates will be giving back to the shelter “The Apostles House” in Newark. Our goals are to transform the shelter's basement into a kid-friendly play space and to collect new household goods for the families in need and are looking to you as a member of our community for assistance.
There are three ways you can help us achieve this:
First, you can make a tax-deductible donation that will be applied to the basement transformation, the purchase of interior design elements such as art room furniture, reading room furniture, paint, window treatments, shelving and the reading room rugs. We have outlined the items needed on the GoFundMe page.

Or, you can purchase household goods like sheets, mattress pads, towels, pots/pans, personal care items and the like through our Amazon wish list. Items should be shipped to our office and then the APOSTLE HOUSE will gift the items to the families when they move out of the shelter and into their new permanent housing.

We are very excited about the Keller Williams RED Day initiative and are confident the success of this program will not only strengthen Keller Williams and its culture across the globe but also encourage others to donate for the benefit of our community.
The Apostles' House's Mission is to provide comprehensive social services to homeless and at-risk families and individuals in Newark and Essex County, New Jersey, in a stable, safe, drug-free environment that encourages self-sufficiency and improves clients and residents’ physical, emotional, social and fiscal quality of life.
We look forward to including you in our success. Should you have any questions or would like further information, please contact Susan Massa at 908-400-0778.
