MADISON, NJ —  People gathered with their pets under the sanctuary porch of the Presbyterian Church of Madison for the Annual Blessing of the Animals. There was a short blessing and a prayer was said for each of them.

In addition to the dogs and cats the Blessing of the Animals, the blessing also included the ponies, lambs, rabbits, chicks and ducks from the petting zoo.

"It was an amazing Bottle Hill Day for Presbyterian Church of Madison—it’s our favorite outreach of the year, " said Scott Foster of the Presbyterian Church of Madison.  "The petting zoo and pony rides are a destination for families, and we’ve been doing Blessing of the Animals for the past couple years".
