Jerusalem: Holy – and Wholly Complex – City

The Long Hill Township Library invites you to learn about the city of Jerusalem on Saturday, Jan. 12 at Noon, in a program called Jerusalem: A Holy & Wholly Complex City.  Christopher M. Bellitto, Ph.D., a Professor of History at Kean University, will help us answer the questions: Why is Jerusalem thought of as a city of both joy and sorrow? And what does it mean to be at the intersection of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam?

Join Christopher M. Bellitto, Ph.D., to discover more about this holy and wholly complex city. Dr Bellitto teaches courses in ancient, medieval and religious history. He is the author of 10 books and over two dozen peer-reviewed articles appearing in the United States and Europe. In addition, he is a frequent media commentator and public lecturer on church history and contemporary Catholicism.

Register for the program in person at the library or by calling 908-647-2088. This program is funded by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, an independent non-profit organization and state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
