THE CALDWELLS, NJ -- The West Essex and Caldwell boys lacrosse teams were represented with two players apiece on the 2019 Super Essex Conference's All-American Division First Team, as selected by the conference coaches at the conclusion of the season.

Tommy Drago and Will Perez of West Essex and Matt Fermo and Matt DiBlasio of Caldwell all were named to the American Division First Team.

Drago, a long-stick midfielder, will attend Division 1 Syracuse University to continue his lacrosse career. He scored 18 goals this season and picked up 132 ground balls. Perez anchored the West Essex defense and routinely took on the task of guarding the opponent's best scorer. He also had eight assists and five goals.

DiBlasio, a junior who has made a verbal commitment to Marist College, finished with 32 goals and 25 assists. Fermo, a senior midfielder and the team's FOGO specialist, won 71 percent of his faceoffs this season and totaled 23 points. Fermo is expected to continue playing lacrosse at Pace University.

Jack Wohlgemuth and Ryan Hamburger of West Essex and Connor Hapward and Ben Kopen of Caldwell all were chosen to the division's Second Team.

Honorable mentions went to Christian Wagner of Caldwell and Dylan Murphy of West Essex.
