EAST HANOVER, N.J.- East Hanover Middle School Eagles baseball team stands at 5-0 with a decisive 12-1 victory over Mendham on Monday. Joey Lopinto struck out five in three innings along with John Cirelli's efforts on the mound resulting in two scoreless innings. Mark Ruccio and Dante Cleffi each had two hits. Anthony Rios' double play was the hightlight of the defense. The boys are home today against West Orange.

The Lady Eagles also had a big win against Mendham at Lurker Park, with a score of 17-5 in five innings. Becky Civitello earned the game ball behind and at the plate. Vincenza Ucci also had a big day at the plate and stole home. Olivia Klein went three for four at bat, with two doubles and six RBIs. Masterful on the mound, Alyza Dooley threw a four hitter, striking out eleven on the day. The team continues to get better and will take on West Orange Liberty at East Hanover Middle School today.
