MORRIS PLAINS, NJ - Senior Alec Gironda placed second out of 127 runners with a time of 16:39 at Greystone on Tuesday when Chatham opened its NJAC boys cross-country schedule with a tri-meet with Morristown and Delbarton.

Chatham lost two closes races, 26-31 to Morristown and 29-25 to Delbarton.

In the short course Frosh/Soph race, Chatham took the first two spots out of 152 runners. Ryan Beegle was first clocking 9:33 and Alex Krack crossed second in 9:52.
