UNION, NJ — Will Egner, a rising senior from Livingston High School, took part Wednesday night in the first annual New Jersey North-South Baseball Underclassmen All-Star Game at Kean University.

Egner, a right-handed hitting first baseman, made a strong showing with scores of scouts in attendance, lacing a solid single to right-center, hitting a double to right field and making a couple of impressive plays at first base. Former major league pitcher and current MLB Network analyst Al Leiter was also on hand.

Egner batted .472 in his junior season at Livingston with nine doubles and one triple. He drive in 25 runs and scored 23 runs in 2019. As a sophomore, Egner hit a grand slam in Livingston's Greater Newark Tournament championship game victory over Nutley in 2018.

He also had a career-high six RBI in one game against Montclair in May of this year.
