Ardmore, Lower Merion Township, PA — Two Lower Merion High School football standouts, Matt O'Connor and Jalen Goodman were selected to play in the  18th Annual Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) East-West Game, held on May 5 in Altoona, PA,

O'Connor added MVP honors to his impressive football career. It was a close contest, but the Bulldog's workhorses of O'Connor and Goodman could not bring it home for the East. O'Connor completed seven of 12 passes for 232 yards and four touchdowns in the first half, despite wet and rainy conditions.

Goodman, who started at safety and worked admirably on special teams made several big plays, making his presence known.

West came out on top with a 41-35 win, even as Lower Merion's twosome Performed valiantly for the East squad.

Goodman and O'Connor will both be continuing their education's and football careers at Villanova University.

Evan Breisblatt who coached both players told PA PREP LIVE's Adam West that, "Matt and Jalen put Lower Merion football on the map this past Sunday.
