MORRISTOWN, NJ – Despite outshooting Madison 43-21, third-seed Morris Knolls ice hockey fell to sixth-seed and defending champion Madison, 1-0, in the first round of the Mennen Cup on Thur., Feb. 13, at the Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown.

Madison’s Liam Fry scored the game’s only goal, assisted by Tyler Shannon, 4:44 minutes into the third period. Madison (9-12-1) advanced to the semifinal where it will battle second-seed Randolph (16-2-4) on Thur., Feb. 20, at 8:15 p.m. at the Mennen Sports Arena.

Morris Knolls (13-6-3) awaits the lineup for the state sectional tournament, which begins Mon., Feb. 24.
