TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Ridge High School finished first in both the girls' and boys' competitions when the Section 2, Group 4 team championships were contested Sunday, Feb. 3. 

It was the sixth consecutive sectional crown for the Ridge girls.

Morgan Lyons of Ridge won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:18.09 and finished second in the 400 meter dash at 59.30. Joy Osborne won the high jump at 5-02, with Jennifer Hodges of Ridge coming in second at 5-0. Hodges also came in third in the 55 meter hurdles with a 9.00.

Manon Stephen ran second in the 1600 meters for Ridge with a time of 5:10.71, and she placed third in the 3200 meter run at 11:18.64.

Top five finishers among Ridge girls also included Olivia Cicchetti, Sarah Castronovo and Tatum Peskin, along with a second-place team finish in the 4x4 relay with a time of 4:02.92. 

The Ridge boys' first-place team finish was highlighted by the Red Devils sweeping the top three spots in the 1600 meter run, where Ryan Lindrud was first at 4:24.32, Will Pinto was second (4:28.30) and Sam Lewis was third (4:28.62). Ridge also had the gold and silver winners in the 3200 meter run, with James Glockenmeier first (9:44.21) and Lindrud second (9:51.50).

Luke Roberts of Ridge finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.52. In the pole vault, Alex Petric of Ridge was third at 12-06.00 and Kevin Korn was fourth at 12-06.00.
