LITTLE FALLS, NJ -- Heather Gallagher, Vice President of Business Development at Boston National Title, spoke with TAPintoTV’s Executive Producer, Brian Brodeur, about her role at the company and the importance of networking to boost business development. 

Brodeur and Gallagher spoke via video conference from East Main Media’s studio in Little Falls, NJ, which has been reconfigured to accommodate remote interviews due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Boston National Title is a title and settlement services company with both residential and commercial clients, such as realtors, mortgage lenders, banks, real estate attorneys and real estate developers. As a national firm, they have a strong network of support for their clientele.

In her role as VP of Business Development, Gallagher estimates that she spends at least 50% of her time networking. “I do a lot of networking, I consider myself a connector,” she said. “It’s building those relationships.” 

“Development,” on the other hand, she said, “is really digging deeper, I like to say peeling the layers of the onion.” 

As a member of the American Business Associates networking group in New Jersey, Gallagher vouched for the valuable connections she’s made through the organization. “They’re a wealth of information,” she said. “I do a lot of networking, I want to share my Rolodex with those people in ABA.” She added, “Not only are they connectors, but they really take the time to get to know you.”
