MONTCLAIR, NJ — After celebrating their first anniversary last November, Vanillamore continues to be a part of the vibrant Montclair restaurant scene.
Vanillamore Owner and Chef Risa Magid Boyer speaks about coming to Montclair, working with other business owners in town, and giving back to the community through a recent partnership with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence.
"Montclair feels like a small part of New York City," says Boyer. "It really draws a diverse audience, which was one of the top criteria we looked at when we were deciding where we wanted to make our home."
The town of Montclair has been very welcoming to Vanillamore. "Everyone is incredibly supportive. It's all about building one other up and making Montclair as a whole really special," says Boyer. "I don't think that every downtown area has that like Montclair does."
"We've partnered with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence, which funds a lot of different aspects of the Montclair Public School Systems. We donate a percentage of our sales on a weekly basis, and in return they support us," says Boyer. "It's really been a great avenue for us to connect with the people who live in this town."
Vanillamore celebrated its first anniversary in November of 2018, and is located at 349 Bloomfield Avenue in downtown Montclair.
