LITTLE FALLS, NJ -- Ahead of the upcoming mayoral contest here in Little Falls, TAPintoTV recently spoke with both candidates running for office. James Damiano, the incumbent mayor on the Democratic ticket, shared his perspective and vision for the community with Executive Producer Brian Brodeur.

Damiano is a lifelong resident of Little Falls and has served as mayor since January of 2017.   Prior to being elected, he was a member of the Township Council and served on the Passaic Valley Board of Education. Growing up, he attended the Little Falls Public Schools, later went on to law school and is a member of his family’s law firm, Damiano Law Offices, also located in Little Falls.

Damiano wants to continue the initiatives he began during his first term as mayor. “I think I’ve started a lot of incredible things here in my first four years as mayor, and frankly, my time is not done,” he said. “I believe I have a lot more to offer this town.”

“It has really been an incredible process, it’s been incredibly humbling and I really have enjoyed the relationship that I’ve built with so many residents, being able to help them with so many problems that they’ve had,” Damiano said. “I really believe that I can continue to provide incredible services to the residents of Little Falls.”

Damiano spoke about coming to terms with the relatively slow pace of government operations during his first term, and said that while progress has been made, more time is needed to allow that progress to continue. “I am very excited for the direction that the town has been heading,” he said.
