Travel Tips and Tricks - United Offers Boarding Passes for Partner Airlines via Mobile App

United Becomes First U.S. Carrier to Offer Boarding Passes for Partner Airlines Via its Mobile App

TAPintoTravels - When traveling internationally, have you ever been delayed when you have to stop at the transfer desk to print up a second ticket?  Well, United Airlines has an app for that annoying situation.

Customers using the United APP on their smartphones will now be able to receive boarding passes for 19 partner airlines on their smartphones. The feature is a first for a U.S. airline. The app is used an estimated 500 times a year.

"As we continue to make improvements to the United app, we found that simply allowing our customers to access boarding passes for their entire itinerary within the same app made a big difference," said Kate Gebo, chief customer officer at United. "Our partnerships with Star Alliance carriers and other partner airlines can take our customers to over a thousand destinations around the world, and we're excited to be the first U.S. carrier to provide customers with this convenience when connecting to partners."
