WARETOWN, NJ —  Snow-laden trees are not exactly in an anomaly when it comes to Waretown - or Barnegat, for that matter. This photograph shot by Ann Hopkins appears to be in black and white. It's not.

Ann reports that she took this picture in the back of her yard and enjoys its beauty. She says she's fully aware that the snow will melt and take away from one part of the splendor of Mother Nature's artful decoration. However, she wasn't counting on the massive tree's disappearance. Or, any of the others whose stark bareness contrasts to add to the display.

"My backyard lines up to where the new townhomes are planned," explained Ann. “I'm sad and a bit angry that I will no longer have this beautiful sight to marvel at as part of my daily life."
