STAFFORD — The Southern Regional School District is going for it! TAPinto Stafford-LBI has been informed that the Southern Regional Board of Education is behind the plan developed by Chief School Administrator Craig Henry and his administration to fully open Southern Regional Middle and High Schools in September.
The administration is confident it can adhere to all guidelines put out by Governor Murphy and state leadership. The district will adhere to social distancing and masking where necessary. The District will work closely with all students and their specific educational needs. There is a lot of work that needs to be done in preparing to fully open in the coming weeks.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of New Jersey reacts to the first large district with a plan to fully open. Most districts around New Jersey are working on hybrid plans that include some days in school and other days on remote learning.
It remains to be seen how the New Jersey Teacher's Association reacts to this Southern Regional announcement.
