BARNEGAT, NJ - Parents thanked Barnegat Chief Keith Germain for his reassurances regarding police activity at Brackman Middle School. However, many still wanted answers.
The Barnegat Chief took to Facebook to deliver more particulars. His message shares the Department's commitment to keep the community safe.
According to Germain, a Brackman student threatened to shoot the school up. Several outside law enforcement agencies joined the local department in the investigation.
Police obtained a search warrant and conducted a search of the juvenule's home. No weapons were recovered
The Brackman student has not been identified. Nonetheless, authorities want parents to rest assured the juvenile will not be in school tomorrow. The individual will not be permitted to return unless the district feels it is safe.
