STAFFORD - We are in the thick of the winter and it is time to look forward to a great event! The Fifth Annual Arctic Outreach in Loving Memory of Mallory McBrien is going to happen on Saturday February 29 at the Mud City Crab House. The rain, snow or shine event takes place between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The Fifth Annual Arctic Outreach ~ A Community Clambake of Arctic Proportions will benefit the Jetty Rock Foundation.
The initial event donated funds for Cedar and Piper McBrien. They are the children of Mallory McBrien who lost her fight against cancer a few years ago. It was Mallory's courageous battle, the outpouring of love from many friends and family members which inspired this wonderful outreach that continues into its fifth year.
The event is run by the Jetty Rock Foundation and the Tide Table Group of Restaurants.
The Jetty Rock Foundation is the non-profit arm of the Jetty brand. This charitable organization was formed in June of 2013 as a direct result of Jetty's massive Sandy Relief efforts. The approved 501(C)3 Charitable Organization allows the Jetty brand to continue to be a vehicle for fundraising by using its design, screen printing, and event prowess while providing a formidable channel to get direct aid to those in need.
The proceeds will also support people and environmental needs in coastal communities. This highly collaborative event has raised over $160,000 in the last four years.
The Arctic Outreach will feature live music, craft beer, spiked hot beverages, cider, hot chocolate, an igloo, Little Eskimo activities, auctions & more.
