BARNEGAT, NJ – Construction continues at a fast pace for the second phase of Barnegat 67. What’s coming next adds to accessibility for local residents.
According to Township Committeeman Al Bille, commitments are already in place for full commercial occupancy in the first phase of the project. The new businesses (and those that relocated from other Barnegat addresses) represent a great deal of convenience.
A hair salon, Jersey Mike’s, Taco Bell, and Mama Rosa will add to the offerings in the first part of the project. Barnegat 67's leasing office will be moving upstairs to make room for Keller-Williams Shore Properties.
In the meantime, the developer is adding 72 additional apartments in the second phase of the project. Prospective residents must be over the age of 55. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to occupy the premises. Of course, this negates the possibility of increased enrollment in the public school system.
If all goes as anticipated, a drop-in medical facility will also open as part of phase two. This saves area residents time and travel for immediate sick visits. Additionally, a pet store and an ice cream shop have all expressed interest in occupying commercial space once the building is completed.
