SOUTHERN OCEAN — Finally after a long wait area bars and restaurants are permitted to serve the public with outdoor seating only.
So many of our area bars and restaurants have done a tremendous job increasing their outdoor seating to generate business. Many of these businesses and employers have suffered greatly during the Covid-19 pandemic. Small businesses in our area have developed strategies to maintain social distancing measures and reopen in accordance with these new state guidelines. Let's remember to appreciate these bar and restaurant employees who have been out of work for months.
Murphy’s executive order gave some instructions on how to conduct safe outdoor dining. Additional details came from the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association.
Tables must be six feet apart, eight or fewer customers can be seated together and restaurant employees must wear gloves and masks.
Be ready when you arrive to adjust to the safety guidelines for each establishment.
