SHIP BOTTOM, NJ —  Hosted by The Lloyd Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism at Stockton University, the 12th Annual event turned webinar brings Jersey Shore experts together on May 6 to discuss 2020 Summer season and what is on the horizon.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce CEO, Lori Pepenella was selected to be one of six panelists to provide an outlook for the tourism and business season for the New Jersey Shore region.

Pepenella serves as the Vice President of the New Jersey Tourism Industry Association, Commissioner for Ocean County Culture & Heritage and the Vice Chair of the Ocean County Tourism & Business Advisory Board.

She has been been a panelist on several previous ShoreCast discussions since its inception in 2008. The Jersey ShoreCast is traditionally hosted in Atlantic City to an audience of press and tourism representatives.

With COVID19 restrictions in place, the 12th annual event will be virtual.

The event features guest speaker and moderator Mark Blum, publisher of The Press of Atlantic City. The panel of experts drawn from local industry and Stockton University include Donna Albano, Associate Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies Michael Busler, Ph.D., Professor of business Studies-Finance, Stockton University, Michael Chait President, Greater Atlantic City chamber of Commerce, Lori Pepenella Chief Executive Officer, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce representing the LBI Region, Larry Sieg Director-Communications and Marketing, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and  Michael Tidwell, Director of Sales and Marketing at Seaview, A Dolce Hotel.

The group will share their predictions for the 2020 tourism season and their perspectives on the emerging trends affecting the gaming, hospitality & tourism in the COVID19 era.

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is the official and accredited Destination Marketing and Management Organization for the Long Beach Island Region.

It runs continuous promotion that is fueled by the business community such as the April 26 Wedding Road Show Virtual showcase, and the 2020 Summer Refresh campaign that will create conversations to promote places, spaces and businesses that are ready to serve.

The May 6 event will begin at 830am, it is Free and Open to the Public, however Registration is Required
