MANAHAWKIN - The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites businesses to take part in the official Holiday Shopping Season kick off taking place on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.

Learn how to take part in the latest local holiday shopping program initiative, top customer service trends and what representatives from businesses across the region have planned at The Mainland/Holiday Inn 151 Rt. 72 East in Manahawkin.

Check in begins at 8 a.m. The popular "Innovate and Caffeinate" meeting features networking, breakfast buffet and will be a one stop for Shop Small Saturday swag and materials.

It also will feature a presentation on the new digital mapping for consumers to get restaurant, retail and activities into the holiday mix, as well  also includes top customer service tips presented by Michael Forcella of  Ocean County College Business Engagement.

The Southern Ocean Chamber's Holiday Redefined Shopping program was created to generate extra exposure for retail and restaurant businesses who are offering addition services and extended hours for holiday shoppers.

Launched in 2017, it shares updated blogs and social postings featuring participating members who are open, as well as in store specials and holiday happenings with new mapping technology.

It all begins with the LBI region continuing to champion Shop Small Saturday and the shop local movement throughout the holiday season.

The cost to attend the breakfast is $25 per person, with advance RSVP or $30 at the door.
