SHIP BOTTOM — During this past week COVID-19 disrupted business as usual for all enterprises, the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has been coordinating with members who have online shopping and service portals to continue sales and assistance. Fanfare, which is a service under the chamber’s Open For Business program, was established in 2019 to promote business announcements to consumers and colleagues will raise awareness that online and remote business is continuing as well as updates of businesses deemed essential under Governor Murphy's Executive Order.
Whether sales takes place through websites or direct messaging; telephone or teleconference; new technology has allowed our community to remain active taking the LBI Region business experts outbound. There are two indexes for consumer friendly use, Essential Businesses with offers and ways to connect as well as Online Shopping & Services index. Similar to the Now Serving Program that offers an updated and accurate directory of chamber member eateries and markets providing delivery and takeout; the Fanfare program will be housed on www.visitLBIregion.com as well as promoted on the regional chamber social media including @southernoceanchamber and @LBIregion. It also will be featured weekly on the LBI Region Report Radio Show that airs on WBNJ 91.9 fm every Monday at 9 a.m.) and 6 p.m. as well as on Podcast available on iTunes, Google Play and Alexa enabled devices.
During this uncertain time, the 106 year Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce reminds everyone to do what they can to support our business community and is working to make members goods and service options accessible to consumers.
