OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – As more and more COVID-19 test results come back, the numbers increase exponentially. Today, Governor Phil Murphy reported 736 new residents tested positive for the coronavirus. Of those, 121 were from Ocean County, bringing the total current count to 321 today.  Barnegat now has ten additional individuals who have confirmed test results.  Ocean Township, or Waretown, remains at 0.

Meanwhile, the dismal news also includes reports that eighteen new individuals lost their lives attributable to the deadly disease. Of that number, four residents lived in Ocean County. This means that five people have died after contracting COVID-19.

Lakewood continues to lead the numbers as far as confirmed cases, with 141 reported. They are followed by Toms River with 40 cases and Jackson with 35.  The complete breakdown from the Ocean County Health Department follows:
