BARNEGAT, NJ - The Ocean County Health Department has released numbers early this afternoon.  Confirmed coronavirus cases are now over 2000 countywide at 2021.  According to data provided by the State of New Jersey, there are now a total of 846 deaths related to the disease throughout the state.  Of those who died, 56 were from Ocean County.

In Barnegat, the newest total for COVID-19 tests is 56, which shows a sharp increase.  Ocean Township (Waretown, ) now has 8 cases.

Lakewood's total confirmed cases are almost at 700. Toms River is over 300 and Brick has over 200. Jackson now has 178 positive test results.  Newly making the list of over 100 confirmed COVID-19 cases are Berkeley and Manchester.
