BARNEGAT, NJ - Every year children, faculty and parents look forward to spring break. In the age of virtual learning, any kind of respite seems warranted. The good news is the Barnegat school district agrees. The schedule remains with classes on hiatus from April 13-17.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Latwis provided a number of updates regarding the district's efforts during the coronavirus crisis. Parents can make appointments on Mondays and Thursdays to sign out Chromebooks for students. Check the link to the letter for more information.
Additionally, the district continues to provide grab and go lunches from 10am-12pm at BHS and Dunfee on Monday and Thursday ONLY.
Parents who need paper packets for next week should email their respective principals so they can picked up at the Board of Education office.
Latwis thanked everyone "for coming together, working collaboratively, and being flexible in these unique times." Smply put, he characterized everyone for being what he called "amazing."
